Wilsey Ham provides a broad range of services to public sector clients such as cities, counties, flood control agencies, state and federal government. Several of our employees have gained some of their experience in producing public projects while working for local cities or Caltrans earlier in their professional careers, providing us a better understanding of our public clients' needs.
Our firm specializes in the preparation of plans, specifications and engineer's estimates (PS&E) for a variety of capital improvement projects. Typical design projects include pavement rehabilitation projects for asphalt and concrete roadways, roadway widening and geometric designs for City streets, storm drain system designs, flood control improvement projects for channels and creeks, water distribution system and sanitary sewer system designs, recreational pathway and bike lane designs and park improvements. In addition to the preparation of PS&E for these types of projects, Wilsey Ham also provides pavement management, storm drain and utility Master Planning services.
Wilsey Ham also provides specialized services such as plan checking and contract City Engineering Services. This routinely involves review of subdivision tentative maps, recommendations for conditions of approval, review of final maps and improvement plans and review of site development designs. Our plan checking services are performed by licensed engineers and land surveyors experienced in providing these services to public agencies. Other areas of special expertise include trenchless pipeline rehabilitation, formation of assessment districts, GIS Data Collection and Development using GPS methods and the installation of City Benchmark networks.
